Key Responsibilities
Contract Negotiation & Management: Negotiate and draft terms with managed care organizations (MCOs) to optimize agreements. Ensure contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements. Conduct detailed reviews and recommend modifications to contract language to improve financial performance and mitigate risks. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Monitor federal, state, and local regulations impacting managed care agreements and ensure all contracts remain compliant. Financial & Operational Analysis: Analyze payment trends and reimbursement methodologies to maximize financial outcomes. Collaborate with financial teams to assess contract profitability and identify growth opportunities. Strategic Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between Venza Care and managed care organizations. Work closely with clinical, operational, and billing teams to align contract terms with service delivery capabilities. Strategic Planning & Innovation: Develop strategies for innovative payment models such as value-based care. Identify and cultivate new partnerships to enhance managed care opportunities. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain a detailed database of contracts and correspondence. Present regular updates to leadership on contract performance and payer trends.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in managed care contracting or healthcare administration. Proven success in contract negotiation and management. Skills: In-depth knowledge of managed care principles, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance systems. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Expertise in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge: Familiarity with value-based care models and risk-sharing agreements is a plus.
