Job Description
Essential duties and functions may include the following. The role described involves leading and managing projects from start to finish, with a focus on scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication. Key duties include:

Project Management: Direct and oversee all stages of project development, from proposal submission to final delivery, including planning, execution, and closure.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in consultation with stakeholders, and communicate project progress clearly and regularly. Assist in keeping stakeholders informed by maximizing the use of data visualization technology/tools.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving financial processes, reporting workflows, and Excel-based models.

Data Management: Work closely with the team to implement tools and technologies for data management, ensuring alignment with governance, quality, and security standards.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, adjusting plans as needed to maintain project success.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and risk assessments, and track project milestones.

Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.

Resource Management: Coordinate resources and personnel across departments to meet project objectives.

Continuous Improvement: Conduct project reviews, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment with best practices in project management.

Training and Transition: Develop training and transition plans for team members, ensuring successful project handoffs.

The role requires a strong focus on project delivery, risk management, and effective communication across teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Yes Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Business or Management, Engineering, computer science, data management or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• 4-7 years of Project management experience in a technical field.
• 4-7 years of experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• 4-7 years of experience demonstrating application of project management techniques, schedule, budget, WBS (work breakdown structure) development, and coordination of people and resources
• 4-7 years of Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• 4-7 years of experience in presenting to multiple levels within an organization
• 4-7 years of experience demonstrating application of project management software / tools including data visualization

Preferred Skill:

• Yes Project Management Certification: Professional (PMP) certification from PMI or equivalent is a plus
• Experience leading projects related to utility design, including but not limited to 3 Years of data management, transmission design, utility construction, substation design, municipal / civil service projects, etc.
• 3 years of experience in developing and managing remote teams
• 3 years of experience with utility business practices and relevant business needs
• 1+ years of Strong understanding of data management principles, tools, and best practices.
• 3 years of experience with working with a government entity
