Description
CME Associates is seeking a dedicated and experienced Municipal Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on supporting municipal clients with engineering services that enhance community infrastructure, address public works needs, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering, excellent project management skills, and a passion for improving public infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Design and Oversight: Plan, design, and oversee municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water and sewer systems, stormwater management, and public facilities.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, preparing necessary documentation and coordinating with regulatory agencies as needed.
- Client Consultation: Act as the primary point of contact for municipal clients, providing technical guidance, addressing concerns, and presenting solutions to meet their needs.
- Community Development Support: Assist municipalities in planning and reviewing land use, zoning applications, and development proposals to ensure alignment with local ordinances and infrastructure capacities.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal engineering or related civil engineering roles, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS tools. Familiarity with hydrology and stormwater modeling is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
