Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Manager to oversee our survey operations. The Survey Manager will lead a team of survey professionals, ensure the delivery of accurate and timely survey data, and collaborate with engineering teams to support the successful completion of projects. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about precision, technology, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead the surveying team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee field and office survey operations to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of survey data for engineering, construction, and land development projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand survey requirements and deliverables.
  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software (e.g., GPS, total stations, AutoCAD Civil 3D) for data collection and analysis.
  • Prepare and review survey reports, maps, plats, and other documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land surveying.
  • Develop and implement efficient survey processes and workflows.
  • Monitor and manage survey budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to enhance survey capabilities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, including leadership or management roles.
  • Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center) and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of legal descriptions, boundary law, and topographic surveys.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
