About the Role:

The Sr. RF Design Engineer will have ownership of the design process in multiple projects, managing in-house RF network designs, testing and documentation processes. This position requires a diversified technical skill set and a strong understanding of cellular 5G and 4G network technologies, particularly with DAS and Small cell systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science
  • 8+ years of experience designing DAS, Small cell, FWA technologies
  • Design experience with DAS OEMs such as Corning, CommScope, TE, SOLiD, ADRF, JMA/TEKO, required
  • Design experience with Nokia Air scale/MBO, Ericsson DOT, Spider Cloud, etc.,
  • iBwave Level 2 minimum

Preferred Qualifications:
  • M.S. degree
  • iBwave Level 3 highly preferred
  • Atoll experience
  • DAS OEM certifications
  • Familiarity of DAS commissioner, optimization, and troubleshooting is a plus
  • Familiarity with Data Collection software such as TEMS, NEMO, WIND is a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Macro & Inbuilding 5G/4G system design and planning.
  • Perform Carrier-specific, Neutral Host, and Private cellular network designs using DAS, Smallcell, FWA radio technologies
  • Develop coverage and capacity solutions for indoor/outdoor locations such as sports venues, campuses, shopping malls, hospitality, hospitals, office spaces, and transit systems.
  • Perform location assessment, coordination with field technicians for requirements gathering, Technology/ OEM & Product selection
  • iBwave 3D modeling based on CW Testing.
  • Atoll CW Propagation model tuning using different prop models
  • Perform Link budget analysis, power analysis, and LAN designs.
  • Generate RFDS & Plumbing diagrams.
  • Create customer deliverables including link budgets, frequency plans, PCI plans, propagation prediction maps, and provide network optimization feedback
  • Support field teams during site construction and commissioning to ensure build per design, troubleshoot RF path issues & recommend optimization changes
  • Perform Site walks as needed
  • Provide Pre-sales support for Solution ROM/BOM
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills:

As an RF Design Engineer, you will use your expertise in RF circuit and system design to create cutting-edge designs that meet the requirements and specifications of our clients. You will use simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, and CST to perform simulations and testing to ensure that the designs are reliable, efficient, and meet the performance standards. You will also use your problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise during the design and development process. Additionally, you will stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure that our designs are cutting-edge. Strong written and verbal communication skills will also be important as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the designs meet the requirements and specifications.
