Description:
As the Global Payroll Manager, you will oversee payroll processing for diverse regions, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, China, and Great Britain. You'll ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payments while collaborating with HR, finance, and other departments to continuously improve processes and systems. This position is in the office 4 days/week at Corporate HQ.

Payroll Operations:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits, while ensuring compliance with regional labor laws.
- Partner with and oversee third-party payroll providers to maintain accuracy and service excellence.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond promptly to employee inquiries with professionalism and care.
Compliance & Audit Leadership:
- Ensure compliance with global payroll regulations, including U.S. and Canadian tax laws, statutory requirements, and labor standards.
- Prepare and review reports for audits, such as financial, 401(k), and Workers' Compensation audits.
- Proactively monitor and resolve payroll tax issues using tools like ADP SmartCompliance.
System Management & Reporting:
- Administer payroll systems, including maintaining and enhancing General Ledger (GL) interfaces.
- Administer, test and report on 401(k) plans. Review documents submitted by our clients, proactively keep clients updated on progress and help clients understand the year-end reporting documents necessary to complete government filings, including the annual 5500 return
- Leverage Business Intelligence (BI) tools for robust payroll analysis and reporting.
- Generate key reports, including compliance documentation, tax reconciliations, and benefit deductions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work with HR, HRIS, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and employee status changes.
- Support special projects, such as bonus plans, severance payments, and union dues management.
Process Optimization:
- Standardize and streamline payroll processes across all global regions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure timely and precise processing of weekly payroll GL entries and monthly accruals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, HR, or a related field.
- 15+ years of payroll management experience, including multi-state and international payroll processing.
- Expert knowledge of payroll systems like ADP and SAP, with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
- Solid understanding of compliance and statutory requirements, including SDI, SUI, and paid Family & Medical Leave taxes.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
- Experience administering U.S. 401(k) and Canadian RRSP plans.
- Familiarity with HRIS and time/attendance systems.
- A proven ability to adapt to changing regulations and implement best practices.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual Salary: $116,000-$140,000, based on experience and qualifications.
