Role and Responsibilities
The Manager manages the day-to-day operations for all assigned Data Analytics and Cybersecurity Operations. The role is part of the UMRF Ventures management team and supports the Managing Director in maintaining and improving the operations by monitoring performance, identifying and resolving problems, and preparing and completing action plans and projects.
This position requires a result-driven multitasker with excellent leadership, communication and project management skills. The Manager identifies roadblocks, brainstorms solutions and assigns tasks to team members based on their skillset.

Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Managing Director with leading, growing, and project management of all assigned ventures.
- Set objectives to ensure project goals and timelines.
- Ensure that the team follows UMRFV guidelines and policies.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding and payroll processes.
- Meet capacity requirements by hiring, training, and scheduling employees as needed.
- Support Managing Director with building a sustainable venture by monitoring the budget and meeting revenue goals.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Additional responsibilities are defined between Managing Director and employee depending on company needs and employee's availability.
- Part of project teams to improve processes.
- Process owner of special tasks including small projects.
- Support onboarding and/or manage small new ventures.
- Participate in UMRFV leadership meetings.
Key Accountabilities
- Assign tasks to team members based on strengths and weaknesses.
- Provide support and resources to team members.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and shared services department.
- Communicate effectively with client and client applications teams while thoroughly documenting conversations, exchanges, or sessions via email and/or MS Teams.
- Troubleshoot project management issues using available resources.
- Communicate technical issues and resolutions to clients, coworkers, and leadership.
- Assist with quality control and employee performance monitoring including process improvement and implementation; supervise the leadership teams of all assigned ventures.
- Update documentation; weekly/monthly report creation, distribution and presentation.
- Maintain schedule and monitor attendance; schedule meetings.
- Attend client, leadership, and management meetings.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends.
- Maintain and improve operations by monitoring system performance, by identifying and resolving problems, and by preparing and completing action plans and quality assurance programs.
- Assist other management team members in identifying trends and establishing venture specific goals.
- Prepare venture performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Complete payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Prepare monthly client invoices.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 2+ years leadership experience.
- IT project management principles preferred.
- Familiar with UMRFV company guidelines and policies preferred.
