Job Summary: The Operations Manager is tasked with providing strong leadership for the company by working with to establish, and execute, short and long-term goals, plans, and strategies. They are responsible for overseeing the entire workforce and they will manage budgets and make sure that resources are allocated properly. The Operations Manager will ensure all departments meet their individual goals and drive profit. In addition to managing the existing business, client base, and the current team, this role will work closely with the VP to establish growth goals, develop strategic plans to achieve them and oversee the implementation and success of those plans.

Some of the Duties:
- Manage & Support Departments in daily operations to maintain stability and drive growth.
- Foster relationships with current accounts/customers.
- Develop new business opportunities and attain new customers.
- Act as back up for any key managers as needed.
- Manage & implement an electronic Parts Inventory system in conjunction to building out Standard Operating procedures.
- Optimize parts purchasing for Midwest.
- Provide leadership: Managers are expected to provide direction for all other employees through coaching, mentorship, and development.
- Communicate, and implement the organization's mission: Make sure that direction is communicated on a level that allows all employees to understand their individual roles.
- Lead, guide, direct, and evaluate the work of the Management Team.
- Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
- Make business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible following organization policies and procedures.
- Ensure technician employment is at a suitable level to achieve budget and business plan goals.
- Support the Safety Committee in conjunction with HR Director and other Midwest Leadership.
Requirements:
- Experience as Operations Manager for a large Truck & Trailer company, or;
- Experience with Managing Truck, Trailer, Collision & Mobile Repair Shops
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to fill all Department Managerial roles if needed.
- Ability to attract, develop and retain top talent.
- Innovative: has a vision of the future for the company.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with managers, supervisors and frontline employees.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through their influence.
- Strong negotiation skills for both vendors and clients.
