General Description:
We are searching for an experienced Network Engineer with expertise in supporting our network infrastructures that underpin the critical operations of our IT systems. This key position is charged with the attention to detail, robust deployment, and precise upkeep of our network architecture, ensuring it meets and exceeds the demands of our diverse internal and external stakeholders. Our comprehensive IT environment demands a Network Engineer adept at navigating complex networking challenges, deeply understands network protocols, architectures, and tools, and is committed to driving projects that enhance our network efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in designing network topologies, configuring advanced networking hardware, and applying industry best practices to achieve optimal network performance and reliability for cloud services and on-premises data centers.

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Network Design and Deployment:
- Implement best practice in networks, ensuring optimal interconnectivity and scalability for future growth.
- Create and manage a budget for network projects and technology investments with upper management.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align network initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Experience working with SD-WAN, SASE/SSE, Cloud networks, and automation platforms (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
- Experience with Azure technologies such as Windows Firewall Manager, and Azure networking components.
- Technical Leadership:
- Experience with vendors and technologies including but not limited to ATT, Cisco, SonicWall, Checkpoint, Genesys, Zscaler, ZTNA, MPLS, DIA, VPN, VLAN, IPSec, SDWAN, VoIP, Wi-Fi, Cellular, Broadband, Net Bond, Point to Point circuits and Fiber.
- Demonstrate ability to coach team members around best practices for delivering highly available and scalable Hybrid Cloud solutions.
- Develop relationships with key business partners and customers by seeking feedback about their needs. Collaborate with them regularly and participate in customer meetings.
- Stay current with emerging networking trends & technologies and make recommendations for adoption.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align network initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Able and experienced managing globally dynamic routing.
- The candidate should exhibit excellent communication abilities, including the competence to present and justify ideas and solutions persuasively. They must be adept at creating business-centric presentations and articulating complex concepts in an understandable and actionable way for leaders with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Continuously monitor network performance metrics to guarantee high availability and optimal performance across all network segments.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot network infrastructure issues.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance and industry-standard security practices from DMI infosec.
- Assess and remediate cybersecurity issues mandated by regulatory examinations and planned mitigation activities.
- Experience developing network and security architecture artifacts (architecture models, guiding principles, patterns, standards, and related taxonomy.
- Experience with industry regulations, standards, and frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, ISO, NIST, PCI, OSI, etc.)
- Experience with designing and building strategic roadmaps and mitigating any End-of-Life Technologies
- Collaboration and Support:
- Successful track record of designing simple solutions, troubleshooting complex network problems, and delivering innovative solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance on networking best practices for infrastructure teams.
- Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions daily on our network.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a network engineer or in a similar role with a strong portfolio of successful network design and implementation projects.
- Expertise in assorted networking devices, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure and hardware
- Deep knowledge of network protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
- Adept ability to create and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower downtime due to required human intervention.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestrations (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift/Helm)
- Mentor and train Help Desk members.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Successfully complete annual regulatory compliance training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
