Team Overview

The Annalect Finance team is comprised of 20+ members located in US and India supporting multiple P&Ls and global delivery teams. We are a tenured and supportive group who enjoy Annalect's dynamic environment and engaging company culture. We are seeking a solution-oriented Senior Financial Analyst who thrives in a collaborative environment and want to have a voice in solving the challenges of a growing and successful company.

The team includes Client Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis and Billing Operations functions and is responsible for executing month-end close, monthly forecasting, variance reporting to OMG/OMC, internal management reporting, profitability management, financial modeling to support new initiatives and ongoing financial risk assessment. We partner with Annalect leadership and liaise regularly with OMG & Omnicom agencies as well as OMG Accounting, Finance and Shared Services teams to execute our work.

Position Overview

Annalect is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Client Finance with at least 3 years of experience, who possesses superior financial reporting and analysis, organizational and interpersonal communication skills. Reporting to the Associate Director, Client Finance, this position is responsible for providing key support for new business pitch and project pricing, income reporting to various stakeholders, client profitability and utilization reporting and analysis, headcount & payroll expense forecasting and management as well as capitalization of internally developed software projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Financial Analyst, Client Finance will be responsible for the following:
  • Partner with New Business team, business leads and agency finance teams to develop pricing proposals for new business and upsell opportunities. Includes reviewing staffing plan submissions for reasonability as well as ensuring all applicable services are vetted for inclusion and fee guidelines are adhered to
  • Updating Headcount and payroll expense actuals & forecasts: Includes execution of accurate and complete monthly forecasts; ensuring headcount is assigned to appropriate depts/functions and latest hiring status and project assignments are documented; variance reporting & analysis; risk and cushion assessment
  • Provide monthly headcount, product-level income and new business pipeline reporting to internal management and for communication to Segment
  • Prepare and review client profitability monthly, recommend improvements to improve profitability
  • Coordinate with agency partners and business leads to confirm status of fee approvals, client-specific fee reconciliation and reporting requirements and communicate to Business Operations and Income accounting teams
  • Partner with department managers and Business operations team to develop staffing plans in line with profitability targets and organizational goals
  • Calculate labor-based software development costs eligible for capitalization and assist with CapEx/Amortization reporting, forecasting, reconciliations and review meetings with functional managers
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and support development of revenue models, pricing and rate cards for new and existing services
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve business/financial processes and controls resulting in positive bottom-line impact

Required Skills
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Advanced modeling and analytical skills; Pricing experience preferred
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Team player who can function well in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and work within strict deadlines.
  • Experience in the Marketing and Advertising industry in a Client Finance role strongly preferred

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent (CPA and/or MBA a plus)
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience working within a business unit of a public corporation with multiple P&Ls/depts is highly preferred
  • Experience within Technology Managed Services and Advertising Agency / Digital Media companies is highly preferred
  • Experience with project-based cost tracking for development of digital products is preferred

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.

Compensation Range

$66,500-$95,000 USD

This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
