Creek Technologies is in search for a Network Engineer IV is a senior-level position responsible for supporting complex network requirements across Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN). This role requires subject matter expertise in network technologies, with a strong focus on both strategic planning and hands-on implementation. This role requires subject matter expertise in network technologies, with a strong focus on both strategic planning and hands-on implementation. The individual will be involved in the design, testing, deployment, and integration of network systems, ensuring that networks align with organizational business objectives and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation: Lead the design, testing, and deployment of LAN, WLAN, WAN, and Voice over IP (VoIP) systems. Oversee integration of new or upgraded networks and manage network performance across diverse environments.
- Security Measures: Plan and implement security protocols to protect networks, ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards.
- Network Troubleshooting & Support: Assist network administrators in resolving complex technical issues. Facilitate vendor engagements for troubleshooting when necessary.
- Leadership & Coordination: Act as an on-site lead for the contractor team, ensuring all administrative duties such as timekeeping and reporting are executed in accordance with contract guidelines. Provide oversight and coordination for all network-related activities and projects.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of network build/configuration, testing, and deployment processes. Ensure thorough documentation of network designs and updates.
- Technology Evaluation & Planning: Collaborate with architecture teams to evaluate and recommend emerging network technologies for future adoption.
- Operational Support: May assist in day-to-day management of deployed networks in both lab and production environments.
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible experience in network engineering, with hands-on expertise in LAN, WLAN, WAN, and network security.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting large-scale hospital environments (100+ beds) and military production networks.
- Proven experience designing and deploying large wireless networks with over 1300 wireless access points (WAPs).
Education/Certifications:
- Master's Degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent.
- ADP/IT-II designation (for IT Security).
- IAT II and CE certification as per DoD 8570.01-M requirements.
