Location: Washington, DC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead a team of nursing professionals serving DC Public and Charter Schools. Join a mission-driven team that provides vital health services to school-aged children, advocating for their well-being and fostering a healthier future.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Manager, you will:

  • Lead and Inspire: Supervise and support a multi-site team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Health Technicians (Health Techs).
  • Strategize and Manage: Implement strategic plans, develop staffing schedules, and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
  • Promote Excellence: Advance school nursing practices, monitor the delivery of safe and effective health services, and foster professional development among staff.
  • Drive Innovation: Collaborate with leadership on new program initiatives and enhance service delivery through data-driven decision-making.
  • Build Connections: Facilitate partnerships with local organizations to ensure comprehensive resources and support for students.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible clinical nursing experience.
    • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Expertise in team dynamics, conflict management, and mentoring.
    • Proficiency in administrative and clinical information resources.
  • Licensure/Certification: Active nursing license and any required specialty certifications.


Compensation: $82,000.00 - $137,000.00 per year
