University of Washington Medical Center(s) Montlake/Northwest have an exciting opportunity to join our neonatal intensive care team as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The APP will provide exceptional advanced practice medical care to high risk and normal newborns and their families at both University of Washington Medical Centers.
This advanced practice role operates under:
Clinical practice
Continuity of care
Nursing leaders
Resident education and support at UWMC.
Some of what you can expect:
The provider may function independently.
Under the direct supervision of the attending neonatologist,
Capability to bill for services rendered specific to their role.
Training of new Advance Practice Provider in neonatal care
Enhance professional development of Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers.
Assist with retention of Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers.
Schedule:
90% Variable shift, 12 hour shifts.
Requirements:
Current, valid Washington State license as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C).
Current Washington State Prescriptive Authority License.
ARNP: Current NCC certification as a neonatal nurse practitioner.
PA: National board certification (ANA or NAPNAP).
Current Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Education & Experience.
Master's degree from an accredited program.
3 or more years experience as NNP or PA in Level III NICU
Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.
