Description:

The Director of Field Operations provides support to the field leadership and increases collaboration between the Global Field Office (GFO), field divisions, and field regions. This position leads the coordination and synergy between departments, lanes, and staff to further the FCA mission and vision. The Director of Field Operations is responsible for the development of processes, systems and resources for the field staff to support FCA ministry to coaches and athletes.

MINISTERIAL DUTIES

  • Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for the ministry of FCA.
  • Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
  • Be connected to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement
  • At all times, conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs. (See FCA's Christian Community Statement for details)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Operational Support:
  • Support field leadership by providing operational assistance in organizing field ministry conferences and executing new strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with support lane directors to understand the key development issues and provide feedback.
  • Coordinate on organizational and lane priorities.
  • Work to identify and develop plans to continuously improve support to field ministry leaders.

Develop Field Communication:
  • Assist with the creation of consistent and predictable communication on ministry updates and articles.
  • Help to coordinate and communicate with field leadership.

Execute New Initiatives:
  • Display leadership skills to develop and carry out new initiatives in expanding the field ministry.
  • Work to identify processes and systems that will enhance the impact of the field.
  • Coordinate the deployment plan and training to support new field initiatives.
  • Work to support the growth of field ministry in every sport.

Coordinates Ministry Planning, Measurement and Reporting:
  • Provide leadership in the ministry planning processes to continue to improve its implementation.
  • Assist in areas that needs special support in the planning and reporting processes and policies.
  • Provide leadership in planning and executing key field events.
  • Supports the field leadership in capturing key outcomes and action items.


Financial Management:
  • Steward the finances that have been entrusted to this position.
  • Prepare the annual budget.
  • Manage expenses in line with the approved budget.


The Director of Field Operations for Southeast Central Region will assist the RVP in helping to provide spiritual enrichment, leadership vision, and implementation of ministry strategies for Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Alabama. The primary relationships will be with the Regional and State Director's. The role will include helping to create a healthy culture within the SEC region, consistently monitoring and encouraging the FCA core values, and assisting the region in staying mission focused.
