Job Summary : This is a leadership position responsible for managing, planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating all aspects of maintenance, custodial services, grounds, and facilities. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of the physical school facilities in a condition of operating excellence, cleanliness, and safety. This position additionally supervises and evaluates maintenance, grounds, and custodial staff.

Salary: $101,600.62 - $103,632.65
Benefits: State allocation towards dental, vision, medical insurance, retirement, 200 hours vacation and 96 hours of sick leave.
Employment is contingent upon successful clearance of a Washington State Patrol, FBI fingerprint criminal history background check, and Sexual Misconduct background check.

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Washington State driver's license

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or technical or college coursework
- Experience in a leadership and/or supervisory position
- Experience in school custodial and/or maintenance services
Essential Functions :
- Leads and oversees the overall vision of the Facilities and Maintenance department and related activities as it aligns with the district strategic plan
- Prioritize s facility needs; creates, implements, and monitors a facilities' plan to maintain and improve School District facilities
- Leads, supervises, and evaluates maintenance, grounds, and custodial personnel
- Provides direction and support to maintenance, grounds, and custodial staff
- Provides direction and leadership to District safety and security efforts
- District Safety Committee Facilitator
- Coordinates, schedules, and corrects fire, health and safety issues, concerns, and requirements
- Schedules custodial staff, creates and monitors facility cleaning, train's staff, and ensures the continual cleanliness and safety of school buildings and facilities
- Supports the development of staff skill and technical knowledge in facilities, maintenance, grounds, and custodial practices
- Plans and facilitates the maintenance and continual improvement of grounds at each District facility
- Oversees capital improvement and renovation projects including reviewing project specifications and monitoring improvements and projects
- Coordinates work orders and the systems to maintain and repair facilities
- Hires custodial, maintenance, and grounds staff according to District policy and procedure
- Creates, revises, and monitors District policy and procedures related to facilities and maintenance
- Collaborates with personnel, subcontractors, architects, and other governmental agencies
- Prepares and monitors the maintenance, facilities, and custodial budgets
- Maintains records and prepares reports
- Communicates and collaborates with principals, District administrators, and staff to ensure the effective and efficient operation, safety, and security of facilities, staff, and students
- Serves as a part of the District leadership and collaborates with all stakeholders to ensure the District's vision, mission, and goals
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements; enforces adherence to requirements; and takes necessary action to address discrepancies or issues
- Attends trainings and meetings as appropriate or directed
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with all stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned
