Job Summary:

The Packaging and Auxiliary Materials Procurement Manager is responsible for identifying procurement savings opportunities, negotiating with suppliers, building strong supplier relationships, and generating positive cash savings for the business. This person will be responsible for developing a strategy for raw material procurement for the 9 breweries at Tilray Beverages navigating the operational complexities while sourcing the highest quality and cost-effective materials.

Salary Range: USD $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 annual, based on experience.+ Other perks and benefits

We are flexible in terms of location, but the preferred candidate must be based out of one of our Tilray Beer facilities in the US.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify contracting opportunities in the packaging and auxiliary brewing materials space
  • Build relationships both internally and externally to achieve savings and quality goals
  • Support new innovations by sourcing new to company materials that satisfy product and marketing needs
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics to ensure materials arrive in a timely manner
  • Control spend by negotiating terms and material quantities with suppliers
  • Develop a procurement strategy for packaging and auxiliary materials to leverage our scale across the country
  • Provide direction on purchasing cadence to brewery buyers to maximize supplier relationships
  • Identify operational procurement opportunities and assist in new material qualifications
  • Understand the local opportunities at each brewery to leverage improved cost savings on utilities, chemicals and other auxiliary supplies.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years relevant experience with procurement in manufacturing
  • Experience in the brewing industry preferred
  • Previous experience negotiating contracts and identifying procurement cost saving opportunities
  • General knowledge of supplier quality assessment
  • Ability to create a strategic plan with long term procurement goals
  • Experience with procurement in an M&A environment preferred
  • Self-driven and comfortable working autonomously
  • Knowledge of Brewery supplies and material opportunities
