The Vice President of Corporate Development is responsible for overseeing not only those who are involved in the M&A process, but the transactions themselves. Example of oversight include: research, document review, risk analysis, growth plans, strategic business opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and licensing agreements. Will be responsible for understanding and presenting such data to the Executive Team when discussing possible and secured transactions.

- Develop strategic plans to drive mergers and acquisitions; such oversight includes items such as either personally or ensuring the team engages in the necessary research, document review, risk analysis, growth plans, strategic business opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and licensing agreements.
- Will be responsible for understanding and presenting such data to the Executive Team when discussing possible and secured transactions.
- Ensure contingency policies, systems and practices are in place to prevent and eliminate business disruption.
- Implement new technologies and drive overall performance to maximize the M&A process
- Responsible for overseeing leadership staff, evaluating performance and delivering feedback
- Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems. Consult with senior leadership on business goals, objectives, and initiatives.
- Develop strong internal and external relationships at all levels within the organization and with our customer leaders.
- Lead and create value through exceptional customer service while focusing on exceeding financial performance through flawless execution.
- Define and manage the business levers to execute a cohesive strategy for disciplined growth
- Identify strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, productivity improvements, and cost savings. Provide leadership on revenue growth, cost management and other financial areas. Oversee and implement Region business plans to achieve financial and strategic goals.
- Review performance verses the division's budget utilizing KPI's and the monthly P/L. Develop and execute high-growth financial plans, and report on performance against the plan.
- Oversees the strategy and personnel working on strategic projects related to infrastructure.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in a related industry with at least 7-10 years of experience managing teams; Masters preferred.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, overwhelming drive to win and high energy levels to match the pace of work make for an ideal candidate.
- Strong internal / external customer service focus and problem-solving approach to meeting operational needs.
- Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Continuous improvement methodology knowledge and experience are an asset.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations or other regulations that affect the operation.
- Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals or teams in learning and improving effectiveness.
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and follow through to ensure all issues are resolved.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills adapted to a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
- Ability to build strong relationships across organizational lines from team members to customers/ clients and other functional leads etc.
