The Manager, Sales (Rheem Northeast Distribution) is responsible for the management and development of the outside sales team in their defined region and ensures alignment of sales strategies and programs to the overall goals of the business. This position reports directly to the Sales and Marketing leader and is one of two Sales Manager positions: South region and North region.

This position will serve Rheem Northeast Distribution, the business unit within Rheem Air Distribution Division. This position will be based in one of our 29 branches and will require approximately 60% local travel and 5% regional/national. This position supports the "northern" territory and candidate must reside in Northern NJ or near a Branch location in NY.

Responsibilities

  • Work with leadership to define strategic sales goals and implement programs and processes to maximize market share and sales growth
  • Constant engagements with sales team to reach set goals
  • Creation and implementation of sales tools, communication, and training
  • Identify where training is needed and make recommendations for implementation
  • Manages all sales and sales activity within their region
  • Develop relationships with key customers and accounts
  • Research and recommend new products and product lines based upon business demand
  • Focus on increasing market awareness to contribute to product sales and growth of Dealers
  • Partners with Leaders to create product and support action plans to ensure business impact
  • Drive increased communication and collaboration between Sales teams and other departments
  • Fosters cross-functional relationships and alignment between sales, operations, product management, marketing, and credit
  • Directs sales forecasting activity and sets performance goals for team and overall company
  • Evaluates team through KPI's and performance reviews and defines goals and training plans
  • Monitors competitor product, sales, and marketing activities
  • Utilize company reporting tools to gain understanding and create metrics for team and customers
  • Participates in Senior Leadership meetings contributing topics, suggestions, and direction when relevant
  • Travel, planned and unplanned, will be required: approximately 60% local travel and 5% overnights
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in HVAC, sales, and/or strategy development
  • Supervisory experience
  • Deep knowledge in HVAC industry sales processes and methodology
  • Understand trends across the business and functions
  • Proven leadership with the ability to influence others
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to create reports, analyze them, and generate actionable outcomes
  • Team player with a positive, collaborative work ethic
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, developing and inspiring people and teams
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
