Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis & Review: Conduct a thorough analysis to understand business requirements for mainframe and web enterprise systems.
- Requirement Validation: Participate in JAD sessions and technical walkthroughs to clarify and confirm requirements.
- GAP Analysis: Identify deficiencies or shortcomings in functional and business rule requirements and testing approaches.
- Test Case Design: Design and develop functional and regression test cases, ensuring coverage for frequent and rapid changes.
- Test Execution: Execute defined test cases in compliance with MA21 standards to ensure the functional integrity of releases.
- Defect Management: Identify, track, and report defects, ensuring accountability and timely issue resolution.
- Triage Meetings: Participate in defect triage meetings and daily stand-up calls, providing updates on defects and root cause analysis.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Test Manager to oversee daily test execution, defect tracking, and facilitate daily status calls.
- Ad-hoc Support: Provide ad-hoc support on additional testing requests as required.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with SQA's IT Standard Operating Procedures, methodology, templates, and tools.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of AWS and Azure cloud environments.
- Testing Techniques: Experience with black-box, white-box, functional, smoke, and regression testing.
- Defect Tracking: Experience working with defect tracking tools like JIRA or similar.
- Software Testing: Strong experience with Selenium and automation testing.
- Mainframe Systems: Proven experience with IBM Mainframes.
- Development Tools: Knowledge of scripting and test automation.
- Software Lifecycle: Familiarity with SDLC, test planning, and best practices for quality assurance.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office, including MS Project.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Automation Testing: Experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test cases.
- Healthcare Experience: Prior experience in the healthcare or government sector is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and understand test results and provide data-driven insights.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure thorough testing and analysis of software applications.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA) testing roles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant QA certifications are a plus.
