WHAT WE'LL NEED

Business Intelligence platform ownership responsibilities:
  • Product vision: Define and communicate a clear BI roadmap aligned with the organization's strategic goals
  • Backlog management: Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog
  • Stakeholder management: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements
  • End to end solution ownership: Lead and participate in design review sessions, testing and post-deployment activities including data accuracy validations
  • Agile methodology: Lead agile best practices like sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives


Additional responsibilities for user adoption and community building:

User experience:
  • Designing intuitive and user-friendly analytics experiences
  • Ensuring data visualizations are clear, concise, and actionable
  • Conducting user research and usability testing to identify areas for improvement


Community building:

  • Fostering a data-driven culture by organizing workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing events
  • Creating a community forum or platform for users to connect, share ideas, and ask questions
  • Participate in forming and delivering best practice


Power BI platform expertise:
  • Understanding of PowerBI product roadmap and capabilities to maximize business value

  • Identifying opportunities to leverage features and functionalities


User training and support:
  • Creating self-service resources like documentation and FAQs as new capabilities are released
  • Providing ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance


Data literacy:
  • Promoting data literacy within the organization
  • Encouraging data-driven decision-making at all levels

  • Providing training and resources on data analysis techniques


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • 3-5+ years of product management experience, ideally in the restaurant, retail, or hospitality industry
  • Minimum 4 years of practical, hands-on experience with PowerBI desktop and cloud solution
  • Proven project management skills for data integration, ETL, data warehouse, and business intelligence projects
  • Experience working with teams composed of consultants, sub-contractors, and full-time employees


Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in Power BI to create interactive and insightful reports
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Understanding of data modelling principles and techniques to design efficient data models
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse Analytics)
  • Experience with agile methodologies, product development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Slack)

Problem Solving & People Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively
  • Detail-oriented, with a passion for creating user-friendly solutions
