Tyto Athene seeks a proactive and experienced Data and Information Systems Lead to oversee the implementation, automation, and management of enterprise data systems supporting IT and Cyber Services under the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 contract. Based in Doral, Florida, this role aligns IT and cyber systems with USSOUTHCOM's operational goals and incorporates them into decision-support tools across all command levels.In this capacity, you will shape the technical vision, policies, and practices that underpin data management and information delivery across the enterprise. Your deep expertise in data infrastructure, automation frameworks, and secure information exchange will guide the full system implementation lifecycle-enhancing performance, resilience, and responsiveness in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and sustain enterprise data and information platforms supporting key operational objectives.
- Integrate IT and cybersecurity capabilities into strategic and tactical decision-support environments.
- Establish and maintain scalable infrastructures that streamline deployment, continuous improvement, and lifecycle management of IT and cyber services.
- Oversee enterprise-wide storage and data-sharing systems to ensure secure, efficient information exchange.
- Implement advanced data storage, messaging, and automation technologies to strengthen system security, reliability, and agility.
- Engineer user-focused interfaces that guarantee authorized personnel rapid, accurate data access.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to apply innovative automation tools and processes that enhance operational effectiveness and bolster cybersecurity postures.
- Identify and capitalize on automation opportunities to elevate system dependability and safeguard sensitive information.
- Engage closely with program leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure IT capabilities align with organizational strategy and mission requirements.
- Utilize comprehensive monitoring solutions to address performance challenges and maintain optimal system health proactively.
Required:
- Active or ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in system administration, data management, or storage engineering.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II/III certification.
- Proven record designing and managing automated systems compliant with Department of Defense standards.
- Expertise in configuration management and automation techniques, adhering to rigorous cybersecurity protocols.
- Demonstrated skill in integrating new technologies and transitioning systems within established operational frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for addressing complex technical issues.
Desired:
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience in Department of Defense or government environments, particularly supporting combatant commands or equivalent agencies.
- Familiarity with the strategic aims and organizational structure of relevant command authorities.
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
