Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Compound Semiconductor to lead our operations in Fremont, CA. This role involves spearheading strategic initiatives, overseeing R&D efforts, and driving product development in compound semiconductor materials. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compound semiconductor technologies, extensive leadership experience, and a proven track record of managing high-performance teams in a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for compound semiconductor operations.
  • Oversee research and development projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve products, processes, and technologies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, scientists, and technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the compound semiconductor industry, with a strong focus on materials and device development.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing R&D teams and driving complex projects to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of compound semiconductors (e.g., GaN, GaAs, InP) and their applications in optoelectronics, telecommunications, or power electronics.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical expertise with strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with quality systems, such as ISO 9001, and knowledge of regulatory requirements is a plus.
