Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Vice President (VP), Treasury Governance to lead and manage key governance functions within our Treasury team. This role is critical to ensuring that Treasury's policies, practices, and processes adhere to regulatory requirements and internal standards. The VP will oversee policy maintenance, issue management, committee coordination, and audit preparedness, while serving as the primary liaison with the second and third lines of defense.

The base pay range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Vice President (VP), Treasury Governance to lead and manage key governance functions within our Treasury team. This role is critical to ensuring that Treasury's policies, practices, and processes adhere to regulatory requirements and internal standards. The VP will oversee policy maintenance, issue management, committee coordination, and audit preparedness, while serving as the primary liaison with the second and third lines of defense.
Responsibilities
- Manage the review, development, and maintenance of Treasury-related policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Drive the periodic review and approval process for policies, coordinating with stakeholders across the organization.
- Monitor and address emerging regulatory changes and their implications for Treasury policies.
- Lead the identification, reporting, and resolution of Treasury-related issues, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Maintain comprehensive tracking of open issues and remediation plans, providing regular updates to senior management and relevant committees.
- Conduct regular gap assessments to identify areas where Treasury processes or controls require enhancement to meet regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop action plans to address identified gaps and track progress to completion.
- Provide governance support to key Treasury and risk committees (Asset Liability Committee [ALCO], Technical ALCO, Pricing, Economic Forecasting, Board Risk Oversight Committee, etc.), including agenda planning, materials preparation, and meeting documentation.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of committee deliverables, fostering effective decision-making and oversight.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Treasury's engagement with the second line (Risk Management, particularly Enterprise Risk Management and Model Risk Management) and third line (Internal Audit).
- Coordinate activities such as risk reviews, audits, and policy assessments, ensuring alignment and productive collaboration.
- Lead Treasury's audit preparedness efforts, including ensuring readiness for regulatory, internal, and external audits.
- Manage the end-to-end audit process, including documentation collection, response development, and follow-up on audit findings.
- Coordinate, define, and track performance for Treasury Projects for reporting to committees and senior management.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA, advanced degree or CFA preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in Treasury, Risk, Finance, or related areas within the banking industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for bank Treasury functions, including liquidity risk management, interest rate risk, and governance standards.

- Experience in leading governance or control functions is highly preferred.
