Position Overview:
Vital Materials is seeking an experienced Ion Implantation Senior Consultant to provide strategic technical guidance and expertise in the field of ion implantation processes and technologies. This hybrid role, based in Fremont, CA, will involve collaborating with our global teams to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product performance, and support innovation in the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise on ion implantation processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to develop and implement advanced ion implantation techniques.
  • Analyze and optimize process parameters to improve product performance, yield, and efficiency.
  • Guide troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to ion implantation equipment and processes.
  • Support technology transfer and scaling efforts for new products and processes.
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure Vital Materials remains at the forefront of ion implantation technology.
  • Train and mentor engineering teams on best practices, innovations, and process improvements.
  • Provide technical recommendations to leadership for strategic planning and investment decisions.


Qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in ion implantation processes within the semiconductor industry.
  • Deep understanding of ion implantation systems, including implanters, beamline physics, and materials interaction.
  • Proven track record of optimizing ion implantation processes for semiconductor devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and travel occasionally as needed.
