Job Description
Job Title: Clinical Manager for Transplant Services

Job Specialty: Nursing Manager/Director

Job Duration: 26 weeks

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday. Possibility to flex to 4-10 hour shifts on travel weeks.

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical experience with pediatric or adult solid organ transplant. Three years in a leadership and/or supervisory capacity.

License: Current valid nursing license with multistate privileges required prior to start date; Arizona Advanced Practice License (NP or PA) preferred.

Certifications: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association required prior to start date. National Board Certification to match area of education required prior to start date.

Must-Have: Effective team-building skills and related systems experience.

Job Description:
- Promote family-centered care by supporting the organization's mission and values.
- Manage, evaluate, and supervise operational functions and activities of the transplant programs.
- Act as a liaison with other departments to plan, implement, communicate, evaluate, and coordinate patient care operations.
- Facilitate quick resolution of issues to ensure excellence in a family-centered care environment.
- Provide oversight and day-to-day management of all clinical staff in the transplant programs.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary health team, responsible for providing comprehensive care to pediatric transplant patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Educate patients and their families in transplant-related care.
- Develop criteria for and participate in the evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of care.
- Plan and participate in learning opportunities for advanced practice, nursing, medical students, other healthcare professionals, and community members related to the care of the transplant patient.
- Work with administrative, nursing, physician, and ancillary staff to ensure quality patient care and to promote education and research.

Additional Information:
- COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required.
- Flu vaccination required from October through April; exemptions must be approved prior to starting.
- Those not vaccinated for Flu or COVID-19 must sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and mask during the full respiratory virus season.
