Role:

The Digital Collections Analytics Sr. Manager has complete ownership and performance responsibilities for a Persona based strategy that spans all pre charge-off stages of delinquency. The Digital Collections Analytics Sr Manager leads the development and optimization of the strategy to mitigate credit risk through reduction of Net Credit Losses (NCL). These strategies support the profitable growth of the portfolio. This position will leverage skills in Collections strategy and credit risk, SAS/SQL programming, and complex data analytics in the performance and delivery of results. The candidate should be able to apply solid knowledge of credit and collections strategy, decision engines, and regulatory compliance in the design, implementation, and monitoring of these strategies. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate complex topics to colleagues, management, and other stakeholders within the company.

What a day is like:

  • Owns the management and performance of the overall Digital Collections strategy for Mercury Financial

  • Design and execute effective digital first multi-channel communication strategies.
  • Exhibit solid business judgment in making balanced decisions quickly while being well managed.
  • Analyze existing strategies for opportunities and present recommendations to leadership
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop, gain approval, execute and monitor new strategies as well as changes to existing strategies
  • Drives change by overseeing research, development and implementation of new technologies which help establish Mercury Financial as an industry leader in Digital Collections
  • Develops requirements and support implementation of enhanced analytics and reporting capabilities

  • Has over 20 years of collections experience across large and smaller financial institutions as well as FinTech

  • 5+ years of collection analytics or credit risk experience, preferably within digital collections, within the financial industry
  • Sound working knowledge of SQl, SAS, Python, Tableau and R
  • Strong background in the development, management and optimization of Persona based digital strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize campaign performance
  • Ability to retrieve, stage, and analyze complex data housed in relational databases such as Redshift, Oracle, Teradata, DB2, or others.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and experience with optimization of collection strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analyze, validate, track, and monitor delivered projects
  • Experience implementing strategies across SMS (One Way and 2-Way), E-mail, IVA / IVR (Inbound and Outbound), Chat
