An Aboriginal Medical Service in Carnarvon is looking for a full-time general practitioner to join their dynamic team.
Carnarvon is located 894km from Perth with a population of around 5,000 people.
The laid-back town is situated between Shark Bay and the Ningaloo World Heritage areas and is a tropical oasis amidst a dry landscape.
Carnarvon has it all - natural wonders, extraordinary local history, and adventure.
The Practice
The Service has an Indigenous-lead model of health care with three general practitioners currently providing care.
There is a large patient base of 1,750 people (1,500 Indigenous and 250 non-Indigenous).
Staff on site include a practice nurse, child health nurse, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, practice manager, receptionists, transport officers, Aboriginal Liaison Officers, visiting specialists (paediatrics/cardiology/renal), visiting renal nurse, and diabetes educator.
The Requirements
FRACGP preferred.
May consider visa sponsorship and supervision for the right candidate.
The Package
Base rate of $200,000pa plus 40% of Medicare billings (roughly $400,000pa in total).
Accommodation available.
Car and fuel provided.
Four weeks annual leave plus two weeks leave over Christmas.
