Electrical Engineer I- $87,701-$110,444

Electrical Engineer II- $104,266-$125,964

Electrical Engineer III- $116,636 137,501

RESPONSIBLITIES

This position is responsible for providing electrical engineering support for all Infrastructure Operations, including Elevator & Escalators, Buildings, Facilities, Stations, Yards and Barns. Duties and responsibilities are developing specifications, scopes, project profiles, designs, estimates, and technical field support for Infrastructure in-house and operating divisions. In addition, this position will require expertise in Electrical Systems which includes electrical power distribution rooms, Utility services, Generators, ATS and UPS Systems., having knowledge of applicable code and standards such as NEC and NYS code, reviewing contractor submittals, and electrical bulletins., responding to emergency trouble calls

The selected incumbent will represent the Sr. Director or section engineer in charge of the Electro-Mechanical section. The selected incumbent will also represent Sr. Director, ACO, CEO, in high level meetings with DOS & other NYC agencies.

Education/Experience

(1) Four (4) years of full-time, satisfactory experience in electrical engineering work;
and
(2) A valid New York State Professional Engineer's License. Current New York State
registration as a Professional Engineer must be maintained for the duration of your
employment.
A masters degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university,
accredited by regional, national, professional or specialized agencies recognized as
accrediting bodies by the U.S. Secretary of Education and by the Council for Higher
Education Accreditation (CHEA) may be substituted for one year of the electrical
engineering experience required in "1" above.

DESIRED SKILLS

Proficient with latest version of Microstation

Proficient with Microsoft Office: PowerPoint and, Word

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

SELECTION METHOD

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.

All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
