Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Home Health
Job Specialty: PTA Home Health
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
License: State licensed
Certifications: BLS

Job Description:
- Deliver therapy and rehabilitation services to patients in their homes.
- Utilize cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, medical-surgical, orthopedics, and home health skills.
- Employ adaptive devices, and perform AROM/AAROM/PROM.
- Conduct arousal and attention sessions, use assistive devices, and apply body mechanics.
- Identify environmental barriers and assess pain, sensory responses, and skin integrity.
- Conduct strength testing, assess vital signs, and apply breathing techniques.
- Perform patient assessments and develop home exercise programs.
- Use gait belts, sliding boards, rolling walkers, and standard walkers effectively.
- Assist with total hip and knee replacements and manage supplemental oxygen.
- Educate patients and families, manage medications, and order supplies.
- Schedule appointments and handle telephone consultations.
- Collaborate with PT for seamless patient care delivery.
- Utilize EPIC for charting and maintain professional appearance.
- Adhere to infection control policies, including required flu vaccinations.
Additional Details:
- On-call requirements are to be determined.
- Candidates may float within the scope to meet facility needs.
- Locals are accepted with specific radius rules.
- Mileage is reimbursed, and availability for holiday scheduling is subject to manager approval.
- Compliance requirements are strictly enforced, including fit testing and travel policies.
