They will support the Chief Financial Officer by assisting in oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, bank reconciliations and payroll.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining internal controls to protect the company's assets. They will support the Chief Financial Officer by assisting in oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, bank reconciliations and payroll.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Coordinates and directs forecasting, budgeting and financial planning
- Establishes and maintains financial controls
- Support month-end/quarter-end and year-end close process
- Monitor and ensure all general ledger reconciliations are completed in accordance with established processes and schedules
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain healthy cash flow
- Develop and document business and accounting processes as necessary
- Support and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filings
- Set clear objectives and performance expectations, conduct yearly performance reviews, and support training opportunities for the team

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required; MBA a plus
- CPA preferred
- Ten (10) years' experience in a progressive accounting function
