Job Description Summary
The Assistant Director for Undergraduate Academic Affairs in the Department of Computer Science (CMSC) is responsible for course scheduling, curriculum support, reporting and analysis of academic data, and the administration of various academic-related programs. This is a leadership position in CMSC and is integral to improving the academic experience for undergraduates and providing support for faculty and staff on course and curricular matters.

Key responsibilities:
Curriculum planning and course scheduling
Data management and analysis
Curriculum development
Manage co-curricular and intra-program relationships
Manage existing relationships with IMD, DCC, ECE, AIM, Robotics, and Math.
Program management and support

Physical demands: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.

Preferences:
Master's degree
Experience with survey design, statistics (descriptive), research methods, statistical software (SPSS/SAS) and databases
Experience with research or assessment in higher education or a comparable environment, or equivalent experience in an academic research environment
Background in Computer Science or other STEM disciplines
Related experience in higher education, student services and/or academic advising

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Seven (7) years of professional higher education experience.

Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge advising or counseling, teaching, mentoring, identity and strengths-based education.
Knowledge of and experience with teaching diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service and sensitivity to a culturally and ethnically diverse community.
