Scope
We are seeking a dynamic professional to manage and facilitate the exchange of nuclear station performance and operational information among COG Members. In this role, you will initiate and coordinate collaboration by fostering a cooperative environment where vital information flows seamlessly among nuclear stations. You will organize and facilitate workshops, committee meetings, and workgroup sessions, driving discussions aimed at enhancing station performance and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will provide essential support services that promote nuclear safety, environmental stewardship, and overall station effectiveness through member collaboration. Key Accountabilities
Review & assist with development and implementation of common approaches to Member problems and issues, where appropriate and feasible. This includes monitoring progress on issue resolution and identifying barriers and constraints. Carry out day-to-day liaison with representatives of participating organizations to provide support and coordination services. Support functioning of the COG Information Exchange Program through Working Groups and committees. Act as a facilitator and resource person to these groups and committees.

This role is based at the COG office in Toronto with the opportunity to work remotely 1-3 days per week. Occasional travel to Members' facilities, both domestic and international, may be required.

Success Indicators/KPI's
Achieve positive team satisfaction and feedback from the team Chair, Sponsor and Members, following the annual feedback and peer group assessment. Measure the percentage of issues addressed vs. resolved on time and track successful transfer of information with participating organizations. Track the number of Team proposals submitted and monitor improvements made to the COGonline website based on recommendations.

Key Accountabilities
General Responsibilities
- Organize workshops, seminars and technical meetings to facilitate exchange of operating experience, good practices, and related information and documentation.
- Provide minutes of meetings/proceedings and final approved reports for posting to the Members' web site as required.
- Develop, with assistance from COG Members, proposals for collaborative work for consideration by the Joint Projects, R&D or Nuclear Safety & Environmental Affairs Programs.
- Contact Member sites on a regular basis to review with station personnel associated with COG working groups issues and problems.
- Make recommendations for improving COGonline web site content to support efficient exchange of information among COG Members and representatives of working groups and committees.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- 4-year University degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- 12 or more years of work experience, some portion of which involved project management or business administration or procurement engineering.
- 5 years or more in Production environment.
- Experience related to CANDU licensing basis or CANDU processes, systems and components.
- Knowledge of the principles of the CANDU nuclear power plant design and operation.
- Familiarity with personal computer software and the ability to make effective use of computer information and databases.
- Knowledge of COG Member organizations and operating environment.
- Knowledge of CANDU supplier organizations and capabilities.
- Knowledge of COG Members research and development needs and supporting work programs, especially COG R&D Programs.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, preferably COG procurement practices.
Competencies
- Overall understanding of power generation and knowledge of power plant systems and equipment.
- Maturity for interacting with work groups and technical committees and mediating conflicting needs of Members.
- Project management skills, ability to produce work plans and coordinate a large number of activities in a logical and sequential fashion.
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks of varying priorities at any given time.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to facilitate in a team environment.
- Experience with MS Windows environment and MS Outlook.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to generate reports & graphs.
- Knowledge of process and information mapping an asset.
