Responsibilities
- Lead and assist in the planning, management, and execution of tax compliance and advisory services for PYA's corporate clients, with a focus on partnerships and S-Corps with multi-jurisdiction complexities
- Plan, design, and execute tax projects and compliance initiatives across a variety of industries, working collaboratively with both PYA and client teams
- Be a trusted advisor and planner regarding taxation and work proactively with clients one on one to build client relationships
- Lead the activities of teams-including staff and senior accountants-with compiling & reviewing financial statements and preparing tax returns for small business owners
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax and accounting experience with a national public accounting and/or consulting firm
- CPA or EA license required
- Previous experience with business tax related to healthcare, non-profit, financial institutions, real estate and development, and manufacturing and wholesale distribution industries preferred
- Client-oriented work ethic, committed to high-quality results
- Creative problem solver with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills, critical thinking skills, and a passion for helping clients
