Project Manager Construction

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The primary purpose of this position is to provide BBAHC support in the management of Maintenance & Improvement projects, design and capital construction projects from the federal government; then subcontract the services or perform in house.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a bachelor's degree; Engineering or Architecture bachelor's degree preferred. Ten plus years of relevant construction experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement.

5 years professional experience in project management required. Cold climate and healthcare experience is desired.

Knowledge of construction contracting and understanding of building codes and hospital standards for construction is required. Ability to negotiate project contract completion and changes within legal and contractual bounds.

Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Management Association of America (or approved equivalent) is desired.

Excellent oral and written skills are required. Ability and skill to effectively communicate (orally and in writing) technical subject matter to technical and non-technical audiences.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project). AutoCAD experience desired.
