Position Summary
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario. The Marketing Director, North America Accessibility is responsible for developing and leading the marketing strategy to support the sales of accessibility and elevating products in Canada, USA and Australia. Products are sold through a network of resellers and corporately owned direct sales and installation offices, therefore marketing strategy includes supporting B2B, B2C and business development for architects, builders and specifiers. This role also requires hands on project management for marketing collateral, trade show and event coordination, collaboration with the internal creative team, management of outside vendors and budget tracking. The primary goal of the marketing team is lead generation for resellers and Savaria sales offices in North America and Australia.
The Director establishes expert knowledge of marketing, contributes to corporate strategy and interacts with functional and segment leadership to craft strategic and innovative solutions to drive integrated customer experiences and consistency across channels, with the objective of supporting business growth and profitability.

Essential Duties and Requirements
- Strategy development, messaging and tactical planning to reach the architect, builder and designer audiences
- Lead projects to drive creative ideas and concept development
- Build and a maintain strong, collaborative partnership with sales team
- Develop and execute comprehensive reseller channel marketing plans and programs, both short term and long term, to support sales and revenue objectives
- Participate in the development of branding and corporate identity initiatives
- Maintain and develop corporate image and reputation and protect and develop the Savaria brand
- Research, analyse and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive strategy
- Develop and manage the marketing operating budget
- Participate in product launch strategy and develop launch plans for the North American market in collaboration with the sales team
- Ensure effective control of marketing results and take corrective action to guarantee achievement of marketing objectives within designated budget
- Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing markets and competitive conditions
- Monitor competitive products and marketing activities
- Manages North America web site strategy working with the internal development team
- Works with the Media Director to ensure advertising plans are meeting KPIs, supports with ad material including video
- Manages the social media strategy and program for North America
- Manages trade shows and events for N.A., as well as dealer events and dealer incentive programs
- Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
- Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all promotional materials and events
Mindset, Skills & Education
- Energetic, eager, tenacious!
- 7 to 10 years' experience in Marketing, preferably marketing products to builders and architects, or dealer networks
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or other relevant 4-year university degree OR at least 5 years of experience in the areas of responsibilities outlined in this job description
- Strategic thinking by taking a broad, long-range approach to problem-solving and decision making, involving objective analysis and planning
- Drives innovation to keep pace in the competitive marketplace
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
