Description:

The Global Infrastructure / Enterprise Architecture Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading the design, development, and implementation of a company's global infrastructure and enterprise architecture. This role involves managing a team of system and network administrators, and work in tandem with the Managed Services Partner, to ensure that the organization's technology resources align with its business goals, security requirements, scalability and efficiency. The role is pivotal in shaping the technological landscape of the company on a global scale throughout North America, Central America and Asia.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Architectural Strategy
Develop and maintain the global IT infrastructure and enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with organizational business objectives, security policies and compliance requirements.

2. Team Leadership
Lead and manage a team of systems administrators & Network Administrators.
Provide guidance, mentorship and coaching to ensure high performance, professional development and successful execution of projects.

3. Solution Design
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect complex and scalable IT Solutions.
Ensure that the architecture is aligned with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and long-term organizational goals.

4. Governance and Standards
Define and enforce architecture standards, contribute to defining policies based on CMMC Level 2 or NIST SP 800-171 standards and procedures to maintain consistency and quality across the organization.
Establish governance mechanisms to review and approve architecture decisions.

5. Technology Evaluation
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and competitive advantages.
Make Recommendations for technology adoption and upgrades.

6. Budget Management
Develop and manage the budget for the infrastructure and architecture, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently, and projects are completed within budget constraints.

7. Risk Management
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the IT Infrastructure and architecture.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure data security availability, and compliance with regulations.

8. Vendor and Third-Party Management
Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure that services, products, and solutions meet the organization's requirement and quality standards.

9. Project Management
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure and architecture projects.
Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope and within budget.

10. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain documentation of architecture designs, plans, and changes.
Provide regular reports to Global TI Director and executives on the status of architecture initiatives and key performance indicators.

11. Continuous Improvement
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency within the infrastructure and architecture team.

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field.
7-10+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Network design and administration, architecture and leadership roles.
Proven experience in enterprise-level architecture design and implementation in multiple non-heterogenous sites.
Familiar with NIST 800-171 and/or CMMC Level 1&2 standards would be considered a strong asset
Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux based operating systems, VMWare, Hyper-V, Fortigate & Cisco firewalls and various switches.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, virtualization, network infrastructure, and security practices.
Highly developed sense of initiative, accountability and ownership.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Language requirements

This role requires excellent skills in French & English both oral and written. Knowledge of Spanish would be required as an asset.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk and utilize technology such as computers. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

Travelling

This role may involve some travelling to remote sites within North America, Central America and Asia.
