About this role
The Fireye Engineering department seeks an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic, and fast-paced Technical Program Manager. The candidate will become a part of a multi-site team supporting the design, fabrication and delivery of combustion related products in existing and new markets. They will support the Engineering department as well as an on-site factory and our international client and manufacturing base. The candidate will spend time coordinating efforts across multiple departments and sites and must manage multiple phase-gated design projects simultaneously.

About this role

Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for all aspects of program initiation, planning, and execution (cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, customer engagement, etc.) and ensuring program commitments are met
- The ability to communicate effectively with all parts of the organization
- Will create and present project status, risks, and mitigations to business leadership using Microsoft tools and specialized tools to create dashboards
- Leads and participates in the creation of new business strategies and in the development of strategic and financial plans
- Ability to lead a product development team by leveraging technical expertise, analysis of the situation and options, and experience using skills to influence the team
- When faced with limited information, has the ability to identify various courses of action and the benefits and risks and communicate those to the team
- A foundation in the concepts of Agile and waterfall systems of management, and the ability to know when to use them
Required Qualifications:
- Engineering degree preferably in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
- Experience with project management tools such as Project or Smartsheet and tools for creating graphical representations of data such as Power BI
- Experience using ERP and PLM systems with a product development organization
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading and inspiring diverse teams in a high-tempo, agile environment
- Engineering background which supports the ability to assess technical risk and formulate mitigation strategies as an active participant
- Experience integrating scope, schedule, budget and risk for the successful execution of the program's objectives
- Ability to lead cross functional teams at the engineering level and the company level (ie Engineering, Finance, Operations, etc.) in the execution of complex technical tasks
- Experience in a manufacturing company building and delivering non-capital hardware products
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Experience with Life Cycle Management
- Earned Value Management techniques
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Working knowledge developing proposals for new business pursuit
- Strong communication skills both internal and customer facing
- Strong leadership in ethics and safety
Physical Limitations:
- The employee is periodically required to perform repetitive movements
- The employee may occasionally be required to visit field installations at factories and commercial establishments
- Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials
- The employee is occasionally required to reach overhead with hands and arms; rotate body from sitting and standing position and lift and carry weight up to 30 lbs
- A normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer
- The employee is regularly required to walk and move around; use of hands to feel, touch, grasp, or grip tools, objects, or handles
