Do you have extensive experience in personnel security adjudication and a proven track record of maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality? If so, PSI invites you to join our elite team as a Personnel Security Specialist IV.
As a Personnel Security Specialist IV at PSI, you will play a pivotal role in our security operations, utilizing your adjudication expertise to make critical determinations regarding personnel security clearances. You will provide support for Federal Adjudicators to make suitability and national security recommendations in accordance with the relevant Executive Orders (E.O.s), U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), and the policies, orders, and guidelines with the understanding that final suitability and national security determinations are made by appropriate Federal Adjudicators.

Position Overview:

Do you have extensive experience in personnel security adjudication and a proven track record of maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality? If so, PSI invites you to join our elite team as a Personnel Security Specialist IV.
As a Personnel Security Specialist IV at PSI, you will play a pivotal role in our security operations, utilizing your adjudication expertise to make critical determinations regarding personnel security clearances. You will provide support for Federal Adjudicators to make suitability and national security recommendations in accordance with the relevant Executive Orders (E.O.s), U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs), and the policies, orders, and guidelines with the understanding that final suitability and national security determinations are made by appropriate Federal Adjudicators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a POC for your team to field questions;
- Provide mentorship, ensure training, on the job training (OJT) and cross training is completed, and that the team is meeting its overall performance goals;
- Conduct formal assessments as required to ensure that all work activities performed on-site and off-site are of the highest quality possible and are accomplished and compliant;
- Proactively identify issues early and ensure the PM, APM or corporate resources are engaged as required to allow the PM and APM to remain focused on higher level program management tasks and customer needs;
- Expert knowledge or awareness and adherence to government policies or regulations governing security suitability and eligibility, such as Federal Investigative Standards (FIS), Executive Orders (E.O.) 12968, 13526, and 10450, Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) , Security Executive Agent Directives (SEADs), Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 or other guidelines to make the appropriate adjudication recommendations;
- Manage the review of systems, databases, responses to security questionnaires, reports of investigation (ROI), law enforcement documents, incident reports, and other source security information that contain personal history and related information associated with a candidate to make suitability, eligibility and adjudication recommendations or determinations;
- Make recommendations in accordance with regulations as to whether applicant meets the requirements for employment in a sensitive or non-sensitive position and is consistent with all appropriate adjudicative guidelines.
- Assist with implementing operational policies, procedures, programs, and standards as required, ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of the Continuous Evaluation Program and reporting requirements.
- Assist Federal staff to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
- Implement existing security directives, makes recommendation to resolve unique and complex security problems by coordinating with senior security specialists to include solutions and follow-up written communications.
- Contributes to initiatives to improve functional and/or automated processes within the division.
Qualifications:
- Shall possess a high school diploma.
- Must have a Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain SCI.
- Must have 3 years in personnel security administration,
- 1 year of proven experience in rendering adjudicative decisions OR recommendations
- Must have excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office, etc., excellent written and oral
