Trystar's team members are our most important asset. We are in search of a Design Automation Manager to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will lead a multi-site team responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our engineering design automation processes and tools. You will play an essential role in our efforts to scale design throughput and automate the flow of engineering work product from Trystar design centers to the appropriate Trystar manufacturing site. As an engineering leader you will be responsible for establishing and continuously improving a best-in-class engineering design automation practice for Trystar.

In this role you will get to:
- Build and coach a team of cross-functional, cross-site professionals to support Trystar's vision of fully automated digital custom solutions at scale.
- Partner with cross functional Trystar leaders in engineering, customer experience, operations, and corporate functions to better understand the needs of your customers.
- Institute and champion industry best practices in automation technology as they relate to engineering design, configuration, costing and quoting activities, and product life cycle management.
- Curate the Trystar design automation process in a manner that improves safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency, while providing engineering work products at industry disruptive speeds.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that New Product/Process/Service Development, and system maintenance are all supported with best-in-class automation.
- Responsible for establishing and reporting metrics used to measure and analyze the speed and accuracy of engineering work product made available to value stream customers.
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science (or similar discipline) with 10+ years of relevant experience in the alignment and automation of engineering design activities via software and systems.
- 5+ years' experience in the management of people.
- Ability to travel up to 20% for business within the USA and Canada.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated leadership skills in collaborating and influencing cross-functional groups. Including strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated team building and leadership skills supporting multiple sites.
- Ability to influence all levels within the organization.
- Extensive experience with system architecture design and optimization involving ECAD, MCAD, PCBA CAD, CPQ, design configurators, ERP, and PLM.
- Experience developing and deploying AI-based tools for the technical support of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Highly motivated, fast learner with exceptional attention to detail that thrives in a team environment.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors the team's work to ensure high quality.
