SUMMARY:
Without the strength of our accounting team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we're known for. We're seeking an experienced Controller Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Controller. As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Controller, you will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting and financial reporting processes. You will produce thorough financial reports for senior executive management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth. This position has a dual reporting structure.

Karman is headquartered in greater Los Angeles and currently has 5 locations in Southern California, one location in Mukilteo, Washington and one location in Wilsonville, Oregon.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments and controllable costs.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual and quarterly audits.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Ten years or more of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Experience with Epicor is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is a largely sedentary role. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates in a professional office environment
- This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

- Some travel may be required for this position
