Summary
Area Director of Technology Services to lead and drive the strategic alignment and support of technology needs within our Distribution operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing technology services, ensuring operational efficiency, improved IT governance, and scalability to support the growth and expansion goals.
The Director of Technology Services will provide a clear vision and strategic direction for technology services in all operational areas (i.e. Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering, Corporate), resulting in improved coordination, resource allocation, and cost-effectiveness.

A. Ensure standardized practices, policies, and procedures across all areas of operations, enhancing compliance, risk management, and efficient decision-making.
B. Align technology initiatives with the overall business strategy, enabling technology to be a driver of growth and competitive advantages.
C. Be responsible for scaling technology infrastructure, systems, and processes to accommodate the expanded operations, ensuring the organization remains agile and adaptable.
D. Centralized technology leadership will enhance vendor management capabilities, improving contract negotiations, service level agreements, and overall vendor performance.
E. Have a continuous improvement mindset recommending and implementing solution that improve technology services though automation or simplification of processes
This position will recommend and promote capital and operating expenditures within area of responsibility.
Job Function:
1. Develop and execute enterprise-wide IT strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Establish long-term technology roadmaps and governance frameworks that drive digital transformation initiatives. Create and communicate strategic vision, organizational direction, and key performance indicators across the IT organization. Lead critical decision-making processes regarding technology investments, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Oversee areas execution of strategic initiatives while ensuring alignment with corporate goals and industry best practices.
2. Direct enterprise-wide technology operations and infrastructure management. Establish operational excellence frameworks and service level agreements across all IT services. Oversee the development and implementation of enterprise-wide operational standards, architectural guidelines, and quality assurance programs. Lead incident management strategies for critical systems and provide executive oversight during major operational disruptions. Define and monitor key operational metrics to ensure optimal performance across all technology platforms..
3. Ensures adherence to the information security strategy and governance framework. Direct the enforcement of comprehensive security policies, standards, and procedures.
4. Drive enterprise-wide digital innovation and business transformation initiatives. Establish centers of excellence to promote innovation and standardization across the organization. Foster strategic partnerships with business units to identify and implement transformative technology solutions. Lead change management initiatives and direct enterprise-wide process improvement programs.
5. Implements strategic execution of major technology initiatives with accountability for budget management exceeding multi-million dollar investments. Establish portfolio governance frameworks and benefits realization methodologies. Lead steering committees and provide executive sponsorship for strategic programs.
6. Provide executive leadership for enterprise IT service delivery and vendor management. Direct strategic sourcing initiatives and manage key technology partnerships. Oversee complex contract negotiations and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic partners. Lead enterprise architecture governance and standards.
7. Build and maintain executive relationships across the organization. Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, participating in corporate strategy development and decision-making. Provide technology thought leadership and strategic guidance to management.
8. Serve as strategic advisor on technology trends and opportunities supporting the development of enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives. Lead organizational change management programs and guide executive decision-making on technology investments.
9. Lead enterprise technology innovation and modernization initiatives. Direct evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies that provide competitive advantage. Establish technology innovation programs and guide enterprise architecture evolution. Oversee strategic vendor relationships and technology partnership programs.
10. Direct organizational development and talent management strategies for the IT organization. Lead succession planning initiatives and establish career development frameworks. Make decisions regarding organizational structure, staffing levels, and resource allocation.
11. Supports the governance frameworks and organizational standards across multiple IT departments. Direct the development and implementation of enterprise-wide policies and procedures. Lead organizational change management initiatives.
12. Direct enterprise-wide performance management programs and leadership development initiatives. Establish mentorship programs and create opportunities for high-potential employees. Lead organizational culture initiatives and promote professional growth across the IT organization.
13. Oversee enterprise resource management systems and compliance programs. Direct the implementation of workforce management solutions and establish organizational policies.
14. Leads organizational communication strategies and change management initiatives. Establish forums for cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Direct employee engagement programs and professional development initiatives.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science and/or Engineering Required
Experience:15 years' experience in Information Systems in area of managed specialty (infrastructure, applications, operations, development) Supervisory/Management experience
