Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer for our Irvine, California office to be responsible for the following duties: conducting geotechnical investigations and analysis, performing boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging borings, test pits, and cores, performing floor level surveys, performing testing and observation services, reviewing plans and specifications, and preparing geotechnical reports and letters. Additionally the Senior Staff Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for assignment and compilation of laboratory testing and geotechnical calculations, including calculations pertaining to slope stability analysis, liquefaction, dynamic settlement, and pile design.

Education: B.S. /B.A. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related (engineering, not geology)
