Position Overview

The Director, Digital Sales and Branding will provide strategic leadership to develop and execute innovative digital marketing and sales strategies that drive brand management, digital engagement, and revenue growth. This individual will be a pivotal leader in aligning digital marketing initiatives with property-specific and organizational goals, ensuring market competitiveness and maximized ROI. With expertise in platforms such as Yardi and WordPress, the Director will foster strong stakeholder engagement while managing a team dedicated to excellence in digital marketing and branding.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Strategic Leadership & Brand Management:
  • Lead the strategic direction of a centralized digital marketing team that provides expert services across the vertically integrated organization
  • Direct the strategic vision for digital sales and marketing across a diverse portfolio of assets, seamlessly integrating multifamily and hospitality brand strategies to maximize alignment and impact.
  • Oversee and implement effective brand management initiatives to enhance property visibility in competitive markets.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to property and regional leadership, contributing to the strategic planning of sales and branding efforts.

Digital Marketing & Sales Strategy:
  • Continually assess the performance of various marketing channels (ILS, OTA, paid ad, website, social media, etc.)
  • Develop and lead actionable execution plans to enhance marketing effectiveness and ROI
  • Utilize WordPress and other CMS platforms to build, manage, and optimize property-specific and corporate websites.
  • Collaborate with sales and revenue management on a regular basis to ensure marketing efforts directly support revenue and market share goals.

Revenue Growth & Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Identify and implement strategies to drive occupancy, revenue growth, and market share improvement.
  • Evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly market share reports to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance, presenting actionable insights to stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration:
  • Act as the primary liaison between the ownership team, marketing, property leadership, revenue management, and operations teams.
  • Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including media, clients, and strategic partners.
  • Support properties in creating property-specific awareness campaigns and managing marketing initiatives.

Content & Reputation Management:
  • Produce engaging digital content and oversee reputation management efforts, including monitoring surveys and reviews.
  • Develop promotional events and campaigns that align with corporate and property branding goals.
  • Submit entries for property/company-wide awards to bolster brand recognition.

Team Leadership & Development:
  • Train, mentor, and manage the digital sales team, ensuring productivity and successful execution of initiatives and professional development of team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment focused on achieving organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate leadership by balancing short- and long-term objectives to drive results.

Budget & Resource Management:
  • Allocate sales and branding resources effectively to maximize impact.
  • Participate in annual budget preparations for individual properties and corporate initiatives.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Research emerging digital platforms and tools to enhance marketing capabilities.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve campaign effectiveness and reach.

Management Responsibilities:

This position will oversee the Digital Sales team.

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

Experience:

10+ years of experience in digital marketing, sales, or a related role within the multifamily or hospitality sectors.

Skills and Capabilities:
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns for hospitality and multifamily sectors.
  • Knowledge of reputation management tolls and digital advertising platforms.
  • Demonstrated success in aligning marketing strategies with revenue and operational goals.
  • Expertise in Yardi, WordPress, and social media management tools.
  • Practical experience using content creation tools and platforms.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a proven track record in brand management and revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data to inform marketing and sales decisions.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating across departments.
  • Ability to identify challenges and implement creative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.

Physical Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including occasional overnight trips.
  • Must be able to tolerate prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing at desk.
  • Must be able to operate a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard and tolerate prolonged periods performing work using a computer, telephone, and/or keyboard.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
