Blue Ridge Power (BRP) is seeking a Senior Manager, Electrical to join our team! They will be responsible for the overall success of field installation for all regional projects. The Senior Manager, Electrical will train, develop, and mentor site supervisors and superintendents. They will maintain constant contact between the field and management teams and be responsible for the allocation and execution of the labor force. We're seeking a team player, who is accountable, driven, and able to inspire others around them. This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position.
The Senior Manager, Electrical will report to the Sr. Director, Electrical.
This position is 75% travel and offers per diem while working on our project sites. Site states include North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Michigan, etc.

What You'll Do:
- Mentoring Supervisors and Superintendents to develop and grow their careers.
- Improving field planning and forecasting.
- Aid in the development of soft skills.
- Give verbal evaluations to the field team.
- Informational Liaison between the office and the field personnel.
- Direct management of all contingent labor for the region. This includes the following: Identification of possible vendors, negotiating working rates and terms and conditions with prospective vendors, assisting vendors through the onboarding process, and allocation of contingent labor.
- Develop and maintain a healthy working relationship with all vendors, hold vendors accountable, and to BRP standards.
- Understand all aspects of the contract agreements.
- Direct management of all BRP field personnel, including project assignments, reallocation and hiring, and termination of employees.
- Lead the organization of task plans and execution.
- Manage tooling of projects, both current and upcoming.
- Maintain and update tool calibrations.
- Engage with the Preconstruction Team as opportunities are presented for long-range projects.
- Review lookaheads created by the Electrical site manager.
- Understand the hiring process, including vehicle, credit card assignments, Abacus, IT equipment, per diem options, and ADP.
- Hold Supervisors and Superintendents accountable for completing project controls to support operational themes and tracking.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Supervisor, Electrician, Electrical Foreman, General Foreman, or Electrical Superintendent.
- Experience working on a 100MW project or larger in the utility-scale solar/ renewable energy industry.
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Advanced knowledge of technology and installation methods of all scopes of PV installation work.
- Advanced knowledge of construction scheduling and cost control, technology, installation methods, heavy equipment, and hand tools, and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups.
- Electrical testing & IV Curve testing.
- Solmetric Analyzing program.
- Milwaukee One Key App.
- Understands cloud-based technology and how to utilize it.
- Ability to multitask/ and demonstrate time management skills.
- Ability to complete and finish assigned tasks.
- Ability to read and comprehend project drawings.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to forecast the next steps in a process and implement a full project look ahead.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Ability to organize and manage file systems for all involved.
- Recognizing scope changes and principles of estimating.
- Ability to identify and embrace coaching and training opportunities for direct reports.
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- A current valid driver's license must be possessed and maintained.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study is preferred, but not required.
- OSHA 30 certification is required.
- NFPA 70E is preferred.
- Journeyman Electrical License is preferred.
Working Environment and Physical Demand:
- 75% travel to assigned project(s) - this role requires flexibility in traveling to multiple states.
- Ability to travel out-of-state and for extended periods.
- Ability to visit sites and walk sites extensively if necessary to inspect workmanship, and site conditions and visit field teams.
- Must possess reliable transportation.
- Must be able to comply with all company safety standards and procedures, including OSHA requirements.
- Must follow organization policies and procedures.
- Individuals in this position work in an outdoor environment and must be able to tolerate all climates.
- Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer, for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
