Course Design and Delivery Manager

Position Purpose

The Manager of Course Design and Delivery is responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of ACSA's training programs. This role manages the creation, execution, and assessment of courses, adhering to adult education principles and fostering inclusive, respectful learning environments. The position leads and mentors the course design and delivery team, collaborating with senior leadership and other departments to enhance the student experience and support ACSA's goals and strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective delivery and assessment of participant learning in ACSA training programs.
  • Provide expertise in course design and delivery methodologies and innovative resources to support senior leadership with the strategic function.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the revision or development of training materials, ensuring consistency with design and content standards, and communicating changes to affected parties.
  • Effectively coordinate and oversee course development and creative sentencing projects.
  • Monitor department key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational performance.
  • Guide and mentor the Course Design and Delivery team, promoting inclusive learning environments of respect, fostering a collaborative, positive environment, and enhancing team performance while achieving departmental objectives.
  • Enhance ACSA's community presence through public speaking engagements and industry relationship-building.
  • Promote evidence-based decision-making by monitoring feedback, industry initiatives, and legislative developments, ensuring compliance with training materials.
  • Represent Your ACSA's brand consistently and professionally, while demonstrating integrity, honesty, and respect in all interactions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Post-secondary degree, and/or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Business Administration, Adult Learning, or related area.
    • Certification in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or related areas is considered an asset.
    • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC) designation.
    • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO/NHSA) designation.
  • Experience:
    • 7 - 10 years of related experience.
    • 3 - 5 years experience in a leadership role.
    • Multimedia technology experience, such as Adobe Connect.
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effectively collaborates with various stakeholders, leveraging communication and cooperation to drive positive outcomes.
    • Ability to work independently as a strong and contributing member in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
    • Excels at creative thinking and problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail.
    • Effectively applies public speaking techniques and community engagement strategies.
    • Proficient in project management principles.
    • Innovatively approaches course design and delivery challenges, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and implementing novel solutions to enhance learning outcomes.
    • Effectively coordinates various tasks, resources, and stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of projects while ensuring adherence to quality standards and strategic goals.

Logistics
  • Daily work hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • This role is eligible for a hybrid work model (ACSA Edmonton office).
  • Limited travel, evening, and weekend work as required based on business needs.
  • This role reports to the Director of Learning and Development.

Salary: 116,239+
