SUMMARY:

Organize and lead all evaluation activities for the NY Creative Studio as a member Fragrance Steering Committee and in collaboration with the Fragrance Division leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct and manage NY Fragrance Evaluation staff.
  • Participate in Fragrance Steering Committee meetings to coordinate assignment of new projects with Sales, Perfumery, Marketing, and Technical departments on a daily basis.
  • Select fragrances for various global affiliate briefs when needed.
  • Refine and improve Robertet's current fragrance library.
  • Monitor department budget.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion interfacing with Sales, Perfumery, Marketing, Sensory, Regulatory and Technical departments.
  • Analyze and interpret client briefs for fragrance direction and development.
  • Responsible for odor evaluation and fragrance selection for household, personal care and fine fragrance briefs.
  • Educate perfumers in olfactive analysis of new market products and fine fragrance launches.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on olfactive and conceptual trends in preparation for customer presentations.
  • Participate in presentations to major clients when necessary.
  • Provide conceptual rational, olfactive descriptions and fragrance mapping to Marketing.
  • Assist Stability department when needed.
  • Coordinate with Sensory consumer testing when necessary.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Knowledge of word, excel word processing software and excel spreadsheet software.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by management.
  • Understand and execute all necessary requirements for ISO 9001
  • Remain accountable for all defined responsibilities as defined by ISO 9001 process flows

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university or ten year's+ related experience and/or training 15 Years + Marketing Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods.
  • Strong olfactive acuity with ability to identify and articulate olfactive families, olfactive notes and recommendations for fragrance design to senior perfumers as well as clients.

Preferred:
  • Formalized fragrance training background from industry-recognized affiliate.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Deep industry knowledge around beauty care, fine fragrance and fashion.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally with overnight stays.
  • Ability to work in office 5x per week or as workload dictates.
