LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 240 days
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide support to LEA School Counselors and Homeless Services Liaisons in all areas of their responsibilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Texas Teacher Certification; School Counselor Certification
PREFERRED: Master's Degree
EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of experience working as school counselor in a high school setting. Extensive knowledge regarding graduation requirements, transcripts, endorsements, college admission, and homeless services
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Ability to present information to groups; knowledge of office programs including Microsoft Office, Google, Canva
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing technical assistance support to school counselors and homeless liaisons in all areas of responsibility; staying up to day on all regulations and laws regarding counselor duties, graduation and homeless services; providing professional development on pertinent topics for counselors and homeless services liaisons; collaborate with community agencies and higher education entities
REPORTS TO: Special Student Populations Coordinator
MINIMUM SALARY: $79,369
