Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Accounting Operations, you will play a key role within the Finance team. We are looking for a motivated individual who can assist the team with both routine and complex transactions on a monthly basis with a strong ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and ensure a timely close process. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role that will allow you to use your problem solving and collaboration skills across a number of C4T's teams. In collaboration with members of the general ledger team, you will implement process improvements and support the day-to-day operations. Your Role
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals.
- Assist with audit preparation.
- Provide guidance on daily operations and process improvements on a continuous basis.
- Assist with post-close tasks that include collaborating with Business Planning team to explain variances and fluctuations in the financial results.
- Ensure adherence to the Company's internal controls including effective execution of existing controls in respective business processes as well as consideration of new controls.
- Perform other related duties and ad hoc projects as required by position.
Your Background
Required:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar related discipline with a minimum of two years of public accounting experience.
- Demonstrated history of strong organizational skills and ability to produce accurate, detailed work, including work that requires adherence to strict confidentiality.
- Track record of working both independently and in a team environment, including time management, planning and prioritization.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
Preferred:
- Experience working in a similar role in a life sciences organization.
- C.P.A. certification or path to C.P.A.
