The IT Systems Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Operation Systems, VMware and Storage environments. Responsible for 24x7 infrastructure production support. Performs the installation and maintenance of enterprise network hardware and software to ensure the quality performance and reliability. Responsible for the integrity and security of the infrastructure and its related systems. Provides support for enterprise users as required. Assists the Infrastructure Lead as needed.
The selected candidate will be primarily remote, but must reside in the NJ/PA/NY regional area in case of a critical incident.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and deploy the technologies and platforms needed to support the enterprise on-premise and cloud compute environments
- Support VMware ESXi environment, including SAN and storage fiber switches
- Establish and support technical policies and procedures to ensure all systems within the environment function seamlessly
- Maintain Level 3 support for the virtual and physical Infrastructure hardware, operating system and virtual machines on servers that support our business requirements including Cloud VMs
- Responsible for analysis, recommendation of upgrades, design, changes, implementation and maintenance of IT Systems software
- Provision and administer Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service environments using best practices for enterprise customers across multiple public cloud offerings, e.g. AWS and Azure
- Responsible for Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, SSO integrations, and Conditional Access policies
- Implement, build, manage, and maintain Windows Active Directory and related services including Group Policy, DHCP, etc.
- Create automated approaches and scripts for system administration tasks where possible and appropriate
- Monitor all infrastructure components and respond to all alerts as needed
- Implement best practice security measures in all technical activities to limit unauthorized access/use
- Manage file server permissions to ensure security best practices are being followed
- Support IT infrastructure on 24x7x365 basis as part of an on-call rotation.
- Responsible for new server deployment, installation, and configuration
- Ensure all systems are updated in accordance with the patch management policy
- Perform ad-hoc testing of backups to ensure recoverability
- Administration of VDI environment
- Assist with and perform remediations for findings from annual security audits and penetration tests
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a related industry preferred but not required
- 5 - 7 years of Windows and Linux operating systems and technologies, including the automated provisioning and management of these environments is required.
- Extensive and proven knowledge of Microsoft Technologies is required: Server 2016/2019/2022, Exchange 2016/2019 & Exchange Online, Microsoft365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Certificate Authority / PKI.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerShell
- Strong background with Group Policy, IIS, Active Directory
- Experience in application deployment platforms such as VDI
- Experience in the VMware hypervisor platform is required.
- Strong Experience with automation and scripting languages
- Experience with configuration management toolsets
- Experience with supporting and managing virtualize Hybrid cloud models
- Excellent communication, presentation, writing, and editorial abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with DevOps practice and automation toolsets
