Pay: $110,000-$128,000/year

This position is expected to work primarily out of our corporate office in San Jose and some job-related travel may be required.

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team to assist our organization in providing a successful work environment where our employees can be safe, thrive and give their personal best each day. This position is expected to work primarily out of our corporate office in San Jose and some job-related travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- In charge of general ledger accounting close, including: cash, investment, prepaid, fixed asset, accruals, lease accounting, payroll, intercompany accounting and international accounting.
- Assist in the day-to-day activities of the accounting department and support the Accounting Manager and Controller.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations in the month-end close process.
- Prepare consolidation.
- Prepare flux analysis.
- Preparation of audit and tax PBCs, and work effectively with external auditors.
- Maintain ERP system for financial reporting, chart of accounts and cross validation rules.
- Annual fixed asset physical count.
- Sales tax compliance, property tax filing, government survey and the related audits.
- Own and operate designated SOX controls.
- Look for opportunities to optimize and automate existing processes.
- Requires critical thinking skills, communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
- Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; able to manage multiple projects.
- Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- The ideal candidate will have 6+ years' experience in small to medium-sized company (experience in public accounting or private equity backed organizations a plus)
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Strong understanding of financial statements and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work with a high sense of urgency while maintaining outstanding attention to detail
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit or stand in front of a computer for prolonged periods
- Must be able to travel for site visits and acquisition target assessment
